Join the hobbyDB team as a Data Jedi

Are you the next Data Jedi that our troopers are looking for?

If so, then perhaps hobbyDB, located in Boulder’s Tatooine, is the place for you.

We’re scouring the galaxy for a Data Team member with a meticulous eye for detail, a sharp nose for research, and the drive to assist us in our quest to document more than one hundred billion collectibles.

hobbyDB is an Amazon-style marketplace carving its own unique niche in the $200 billion collectibles market. Our passions range from Hot Wheels to Funko Pop!s, and include everything else in the galaxy that enthusiasts collect.

Our users rely on crisp, clean data to ensure a streamlined experience. That’s thanks to our team of Data Jedi.

Candidates should have experience with data entry, including working with CSV files and the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular, Excel. Familiarity editing both copy and photos will earn you points, as will a strong background in journalism, English or other relatable fields.

This position is full time (40 hours per week) and pay starts at $11.10 an hour.  hobbyDB is located at 2405 Broadway St. in Boulder, Colo., in a building aptly dubbed Tatooine.

About hobbyDB: Based in Boulder, Colorado and powered by collectors worldwide, hobbyDB is building a giant database of every collectible ever made – from diecast cars to action figures to comic books to corkscrews. It’s also more than just a place to research, find values, browse and reminisce. The database powers a collection management system where users can upload images and record data about their own collectibles to keep track of them. There is also a marketplace where users can list their items for sale with just a few clicks, build wish lists and receive alerts when stuff they want to buy goes up for sale.

hobbyDB is a community of 590,000 users who’ve helped take our catalog past 500,000 entries. We want to multiply that by a factor of 10x over the next 12 months.
